Pranav, nephew of Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani, has been accused of violating insider trading rules. According to Reuters, SEBI has accused Pranav Adani of leaking confidential information about Adani Green’s purchase of SB Energy in May 2021. Pranav had shared the information about the deal to buy SB Energy with brother-in-law Kunal Shah and his brother Nripal Shah. The Shah brothers took advantage of this information and made a profit of Rs 90 lakh. SEBI’s allegation – Information leaked 2-3 days before the deal In the case, SEBI said that call records and trading patterns revealed that the information was leaked 2-3 days before the deal to buy SB Energy on May 16, 2021. In response to this, Pranav told Reuters that he does not accept the allegations. He said I have not broken any law. Despite not accepting the allegations, he wants a settlement so that the matter ends. At the same time, the lawyer of Shah brothers said, the trades were done on the basis of public information. There was no wrong intention in this.
