Kinnaur’s daughter won silver medal in America: Excellent performance in boxing, working in SSB; has won four medals at international level

Shashi Negi, daughter of Dooni village of Kinnaur in Himachal and working in SSB, has brought laurels to India. She won the silver medal representing the Indian women’s boxing team in the World Police Games held in Birmingham, USA. This competition lasted from 27 June to 6 July. After winning the silver medal, Shashi met Revenue, Horticulture and Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi on Thursday. Shashi’s sports career has been full of achievements from the beginning. She has won five gold medals in sub-junior and junior national competitions. She has also won gold, silver and bronze medals four times at the international level. Achievements of Shashi Negi Shashi represented Bulgaria and Serbia in the World Championships. In 2013, she participated in the AIBA Women’s Junior and Youth World Boxing Championships. In 2014, she won the gold medal in the Golden Gloves Boxing Competition. In 2016, she won the silver medal in the first Elite Women’s National Boxing Championship.
