Actress Esha Gupta, stranded in the UAE, returns safely to India: “The situation was difficult, but by God’s grace we remained safe.”

Amidst the ongoing tensions in West Asia, actress Esha Gupta has returned safely to India. She was stranded in the United Arab Emirates. On Tuesday, she shared her ordeal on social media, thanking the Indian government and the UAE administration. Esha Gupta wrote, “I’m back home. Thank you for all your prayers. The situation we were in was a very difficult time. It’s by God’s grace that we’re safe. I was at the airport on Sunday, the 28th. By 1 p.m., the airport was closed. There was chaos everywhere. No one could understand what had happened. Then news of a missile attack started coming. We didn’t know what would happen next. Strangers were taking care of each other. Everyone was calling home.” She further explained that the incident occurred at Abu Dhabi airport. According to her, the staff and security there immediately responded. Everyone remained calm and handled the situation. She wrote that she hadn’t been able to check in yet, so she returned to her hotel. We received full information from those we met at the hotel that night.

It should be noted that the tensions in West Asia also affected flights. Several international flights westbound from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport were delayed. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) issued a statement providing this information. The airport wrote on X that due to the political situation in the Middle East, several flights have been rescheduled. Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for the latest updates before arriving at the airport. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has stated that the Indian government is monitoring the situation. Flight routes are being rerouted to avoid areas where airspace is closed. Long-haul flights are gradually resuming via alternative routes. Special arrangements are being made to assist stranded passengers. In fact, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, was killed in US and Israeli attacks. Major explosions have occurred in several cities, including Tehran. In response, Iran launched ballistic missile and drone attacks against the US and its allies. The impact of these attacks was felt in Israel, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan, raising tensions across the region.
