Paris Paralympics opening ceremony today: More than 100 members of the Indian team will participate, Sumit and Bhagyashree will hold the tricolor

The Paris Paralympics is starting today i.e. 28 August. This event will run till 8 September. More than 100 members of the Indian contingent will participate in the opening ceremony of the Paris Paralympics on Wednesday, including 52 players. This ceremony will be held outside the stadium for the first time in the history of the Games. The opening ceremony will be held at the Champs Elysees and Place de la Concorde. The players who have matches on Thursday will not participate in the parade of nations. This includes a 10-member shooting team. Javelin thrower Sumit and shotput player Bhagyashree will be the flag bearers. Indian Paralympic Committee President Devendra Jhajhadia said, “The players who have matches on 29 August will not participate in the opening ceremony. The shooting team will not participate in the parade of nations.” 106 members of India will participate in the parade of nations, including 52 players and 54 officials. The Paris Paralympics will be an 11-day event. Indian athletes are also participating in this event. 84 athletes from India will participate in 12 sports. 95 officials have also gone with them.
