Former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan has been made the mentor of IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka gave this information in a press conference in Kolkata. He also said about the team captain KL Rahul that he is like a family member. Before Zaheer, Gautam Gambhir was the mentor of LSG in the 2022 season. Gambhir became the mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders in 2023, after which the post of LSG mentor was vacant. The post of bowling coach is currently vacant in Lucknow. The team’s previous bowling coach Morne Morkel has joined Team India. In such a situation, Zaheer can also play the role of bowling coach along with mentor.
