Many leaders have suffered a setback of defeat in the Haryana assembly elections. Many leaders who entered the electoral fray after making a name in the field as social workers have now stopped social service after losing. There are many leaders in the state who wanted to become MLAs in return for these services, but the people of their area did not elect them as their MLA. BJP rebel Sandeep Garg, who contested as an independent in Ladwa against caretaker Chief Minister Naib Saini, closed the kitchen that provided full meals to the common people for five rupees after losing. Apart from this, Haryana Jan Sevak Party (HJP) chief and former MLA from Meham, Balraj Kundu, has expressed his inability to provide free bus facility to the girl students of Meham constituency till Rohtak. Also, former Congress MLA from Samalkha, Dharm Singh Choukkar and former independent MLA Ravindra Machchharoli, who had stopped the buses citing the code of conduct before the elections, did not operate the buses again after the defeat. Ladwa: Sandeep got 2,262 votes Sandeep Garg was seeking a ticket from BJP in Ladwa. Here BJP made acting Chief Minister Nayab Saini its candidate. After this Sandeep Garg became a rebel and decided to contest as an independent. He got only 2,262 votes in this election. Sandeep Garg opened a kitchen near the old post office in Ladwa in April 2022. Here he used to feed people a full meal for Rs 5. After this, he started kitchens in Deeg village, Babain, Mathana, Umri as well as Radaur and Shahabad in the constituency. These kitchens were running till the day after the election results came, but now they have been closed. About 300 people used to eat food in the kitchen of Ladwa every day. Meham: Balraj Kundu used to run 18 buses
Haryana Jan Sevak Party chief and former Meham MLA Balraj Kundu ran 18 buses simultaneously in 2014 to provide free bus facility to the girl students of Meham constituency till Rohtak. 1,800 daughters from 42 villages used to travel by these buses on various routes. After losing the election in 2024, supporters in Kundu’s office demanded to stop running the buses, saying that even those who took advantage of the buses did not accept the favor. On this, Kundu said that now he will run buses in other constituencies. In Meham constituency, the buses will remain closed until the workers say so. After becoming an MLA, I understood the problem of daughters and ran the buses. Now I had to bow down under the pressure of the workers. I am still ready to run buses for social service, but the current MLA should take responsibility. I will contest the next election against Deepender Hooda. Samalkha: Choukkar and Machharoli stopped buses before nomination
Congress candidate from Samalkha and former MLA Dharam Singh Choukkar had started buses from Bapoli and Samalkha to Panipat for the convenience of girl students. One bus from each place used to bring girl students to Panipat and drop them off. One bus used to come and go from Samalkha to Khanpur Medical College carrying patients and their attendants. Former MLA from Samalkha Ravindra Machharoli was in the fray as an independent candidate this time. He had run 4 buses to Haridwar and one to Vrindavan 6 months before the election. He stopped the operation of these buses before nomination. Now after losing the election, he has not operated the buses again.
