32 days after the death of Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli attack, Hezbollah has announced a new chief. Deputy leader Naeem Qasim was given the responsibility of the organization on Tuesday. A statement issued by Hezbollah said that Qasim has been chosen for this post because he has always followed the principles of the organization. May Allah show him the way to succeed in his mission. Qasim was at the number 2 position in the organization till now. After the death of Nasrallah, it was Qasim who addressed the people of Lebanon. According to media reports, Iran’s leaders had ordered the removal of Qasim due to fear of Israel. Before Naeem, Hashem Saifuddin’s name was leading in the race to become the Hezbollah chief, who was Nasrallah’s cousin. However, he was also killed in an Israeli airstrike.
