The festival of Diwali is special for everyone. On this occasion, TV actors have shared their Diwali memories and this year’s celebrations. Let’s know what they said: Celebrating Diwali for the first time in my new house: Ashnoor Kaur Diwali always brings a positive and happy feeling. This year, I am shooting for Samundra Indori and am thrilled to celebrate with my new family. For me, Diwali means spending time with the people you love. This time, I am celebrating Diwali for the first time in my new house. We will decorate the house with diyas, taste sweets and get lost in the festive atmosphere. I stopped bursting crackers in my childhood, so this year I am planning to celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali with love and lights. My wife makes many types of sweets: Rohitashv Gour The most special ritual for me every year is doing Laxmi Puja with family. It is a holy moment where we all pray together for health, prosperity and happiness. After the puja, the house fills with the aroma of festive delicacies. My wife and daughters prepare traditional delicacies, and we all enjoy them together. My wife makes a variety of sweets, like my favourite gujiya. Helping others is also a priority during this time, whether it is in the form of charity or spending time with those who are away from family. Bought hand-painted diyas from local artists: Neha Joshi Diwali has always been very close to my heart. We start preparing for it well in advance at home, with our Marathi traditions. A special ritual is the morning abhyanga bath, which is believed to purify the body. We light diyas all around the house to welcome Goddess Lakshmi. I always try to celebrate an eco-conscious Diwali. This year I bought beautiful hand-painted diyas from local artists. For me, Diwali is a symbol of the light within us, and spreading happiness should be done in a way that does not harm nature. The most special thing about this festival is the taste of Marathi food. I love making Puran Poli, Shankarpale and Chiwda. It gives me immense pleasure to share them with family and friends. Despite my busy schedule, I celebrate Diwali with family: Yogesh Tripathi Diwali is a special festival and I eagerly wait for it every year. Our preparations begin with cleaning the house to welcome positivity. My family decorates the house with diyas, rangoli and lights. Growing up in Delhi, I have experienced the wonderful celebrations of Diwali here. Those moments stay with me forever. From decorating the house with lights to eating sweet dishes, every part of Diwali brings me immense joy. Son Zain loves crackers, but we have planned an eco-friendly Diwali with green crackers keeping the environment in mind. Diwali is all about spending quality time with family and friends, and I am looking forward to meeting my loved ones and making new memories. I will not be with my family, but I am ready to celebrate my favourite festival.
