Actually, this channel had shown the press conference of Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, who was on a visit to Australia, on TV. Jaishankar held a press conference with the Australian Foreign Minister on Thursday. In this conference, Jaishankar criticized Canada for accusing India in the Nijjar case without concrete evidence. During this, Jaishankar said that Canada gives political space to anti-India elements. He also condemned the surveillance of Indian diplomats in Canada. Foreign Minister Jaishankar visited Australia from 3 to 7 November. During this, Jaishankar interacted with business leaders and CEOs of many companies. He also participated in the 15th India-Australia Framework Dialogue. He was in Sydney today where he participated in a press briefing with the Australian Foreign Minister. During the briefing, Jaishankar had put forth his views on issues related to Canada. The Ministry of External Affairs said that Jaishankar stressed on three things. These included Canada accusing India without any concrete evidence in the Nijjar murder case, monitoring Indian diplomats and political space for anti-India elements. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that Canada has refused to provide security to the Indian Consulate camps. Due to this, India has had to cancel these camps. The Indian Consulate in Toronto was going to organize some camps this week. In fact, the Indian Consulate General had announced on September 27 to organize 14 camps in different cities of Canada for pension certificates. These camps were to be organized in Winnipeg, Brampton, Halifax and Oakville between November 2 and November 23. But now due to lack of security, some of these camps will not be organized. What is Consulate Camp? All the people in Canada who get pension from the Government of India have to submit life certificates. For this, camps are organized by the Indian High Commission every year in November. To help the people of cities which are far from the High Commission, camps are organized in religious places like Gurudwaras and temples. For the certificate, one has to give his name to the embassy a week before the camp. On November 3, this camp was organized in Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton. This temple is the largest temple in Brampton and surrounding areas.
