A Singapore court has held 73-year-old Indian citizen Balasubramaniam Ramesh guilty of molesting four women on a Singapore Airlines flight. According to The Straits Times, Balasubramaniam Ramesh can be jailed for up to 21 years in this case. Seven charges of molestation have been framed against him in the district court on Monday. Balasubramaniam molested four women between 3.15 am and 5.30 pm on November 18. He molested one woman four times and three other women once each. Three years’ imprisonment for each molestation According to the report, the women were molested at different times. Under Singapore law, three years’ imprisonment, fine or caning or any of these can be given for each molestation. Balasubramaniam cannot be caned because he is over 50 years old. The court report has not revealed whether these women were passengers or staff members. Balasubramaniam may be sentenced on December 13. There is a provision of 3 years imprisonment for molestation of women.
