The PAN 2.0 project was approved in the Modi cabinet meeting on Monday. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the government will spend Rs 1435 crore for this. Cards will be advanced without changing the number of the existing PAN. Vaishnav said – New PAN cards will be with QR code. Paperlane i.e. online process will be adopted for this. People will not need to spend separately for PAN with QR code. The data in the new PAN will be completely safe. A grievance referral system will be prepared for the solution of any complaint. He said that our effort is to make PAN card a common business identifier. He said that in the Union Cabinet meeting, three new railway projects, National Natural Farming Mission for farmers, ‘One Nation One Subscription’ for youth-students and Atal Innovation Mission 2.0 have also been approved. PM Vidyalakshmi Yojana was approved in the meeting of Modi Cabinet on November 6. In this, the Government of India will give 75% credit guarantee on loans up to Rs 7.5 lakh for higher education. Children of families with an annual income of Rs 8 lakh will also be given 3% interest subsidy on loans up to Rs 10 lakh. Students with an annual income of up to Rs 4.5 lakh are already getting full interest subsidy. More than 22 lakh students of the country’s major 860 higher education centers will come under the purview of this scheme. It was said in the Union Cabinet meeting that the objective of this scheme is to provide assistance to meritorious students, so that money does not become a hindrance in their studies. The Government of India will spend Rs 1,000 crore to promote start-ups in the space sector. It will be spent in five years. 150 crores will be spent in 2025-26, 250-250 crores in 2026-27, 2027-28 and 2028-29, 100 crores in 2029-30. The Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) during this period passed two projects of the Ministry of Railways worth Rs 6,798 crore. In this, 256 km of railway line will be doubled in Narkatiaganj-Raxaul-Sitamarhi-Darbhanga and Sitamarhi-Muzaffarpur sections. At the same time, a new 57 km railway line will be laid between Errupalem and Namburu via Amravati. It will pass through NTR Vijayawada and Guntur districts of Andhra Pradesh and Khammam district of Telangana. The doubling in Bihar will increase connectivity to Nepal, Northeast India. There will be ease in movement of goods trains as well as passenger trains. Both the schemes will cover 8 districts of three states Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Bihar. In the meeting of the Union Cabinet held on 9 October, the construction of 2280 KM of road in the border areas of Rajasthan and Punjab was approved with an investment of Rs 4406 crore. It was also approved to continue the supply of free fortified rice from July 2024 to December 2028 under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PM-GKAY) and other welfare schemes. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had said that the government has approved a productivity linked bonus of Rs 2029 crore for railway employees. He had said that 11,72,240 railway employees will benefit from this announcement. The government has also approved the Pradhan Mantri-Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY) and Krishonnati Yojana. A provision of Rs 1,01,321 crore was made for this. Apart from this, Marathi, Pali, Prakrit, Assamese and Bengali were given the status of classical language.
