Indian batsman Sai Sudarshan has undergone hernia surgery in London. Posting on his Instagram account on Tuesday, he wrote, I will return stronger in some time. Many thanks to the medical team and BCCI for their efforts and support. 23-year-old Sudarshan has made his debut in ODI and T20 cricket for India. He was part of the Indian team in the series against Australia-A last month. After which Sai returned home to participate in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Will return stronger soon
Sai Sudarshan wrote in the caption of his Insta post, ‘I will return stronger in some time. He also tagged his IPL team Gujarat Titans in the post. Sudarshan played his last match on 23 November 2024 against Tripura in Indore in Syed Mushtaq Ali. After this he was out of the tournament. He could score only 9 runs in that match. Gujarat Titans had retained Sudarshan for IPL-2025 by paying Rs 8.50 crore. He was the top scorer of the IPL 2024 season for the team. Sai scored 527 runs in 12 innings at an average of 47.90 and a strike rate of 141.28. Will not be able to play Vijay Hazare Trophy Sudarshan went to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) after the Mushtaq Ali Trophy. After which he underwent surgery in London. Sudarshan will not be seen playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy running from 21 December to 18 January. Had scored a double century in Ranji Trophy Sudarshan, who plays for Tamil Nadu, was in great form till November 2024. He scored a century against Australia A in Mackay and scored 103 runs. He scored a double century (213 runs) in the Ranji Trophy for Tamil Nadu. Sai Sudarshan also hit 25 fours and 1 six during this innings. Earlier, Sai Sudarshan had scored 82 runs against Saurashtra. He has also scored a century (105) for Surrey County against Nottinghamshire in England. He scored a century in the Duleep Trophy and scored 111 runs for India C. Made his debut in July 2024 Sai Sudarshan made his T20 International debut in the second match against Zimbabwe in July 2024. He had played 3 ODIs for India before his T20 International debut. He has 127 runs in ODIs.
