The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Drake Passage in the sea, 222 km away from the southern state of Ushuaia in Argentina, whose depth was 10 km. According to the US Geological Survey, 3 aftershocks of 5.4, 5.7 and 5.6 magnitude also occurred at the same place in 15 minutes. Chile’s National Disaster Service has asked to evacuate the entire southern coast. For this, instructions have been given to the local authorities. Chile’s President Gabriel Boric said that the country has all the resources to deal with the earthquake.
