Kantara 2 actor Rakesh Pujara passed away recently. Rakesh had finished shooting for Kantara 2 a few days ago. On May 11, he was a part of his close friend’s mehndi ceremony. He was talking to his friend at the function when suddenly he fainted and fell. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. According to a PTI report, 34-year-old actor Rakesh Pujara had reached the mehndi ceremony in Karkala, Karnataka. He was a resident of Udupi. His last rites were performed in Karnal itself. He had finished shooting for Kantara 2 on May 11, after which he came home. Rakesh Pujara had shared many pictures amid the wedding at his friend’s house. Let us tell you that Rakesh was also seen in Kantara 1. He won Comedy Khiladilu 3 in 2020, after which he started getting popularity. Apart from this, Rakesh has also played an important role in the TV show Hitler Kalyani. Talking about films, he has appeared in South films like Pethakammi, Ammar Police, Pammana the Great, Umil and Ilokael. Kantara 2 actor died due to drowning in the river Earlier, on May 6, the body of Kantara 2 actor MF Kapil was found in a river. According to the Artist Association, on May 6, MF Kapil went swimming in the Souparnika river during the lunch break in the middle of the shooting of Kantara 2. After which he was swept away by the strong current. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the fire department and the local administration started his rescue operation. His body was found floating in the river in the evening of the same day. After a complaint was lodged at the Kollur police station, the investigation of the case is going on. Artist Association claims – Died by drowning in the river between the sets After the news of Kapil’s death, AICWA (All India Cine Workers Association) has expressed concern and appealed for a strict investigation of the case. Some time ago, a bus carrying junior artists overturned while returning from the shooting location and the set was also damaged due to heavy storm and rain.
