But this decline is not due to the performance of the company, but due to the adjustment in the price after the shareholders received bonus shares. Actually, BSE had announced to give 2 bonus shares to the shareholders for every 1 share. When bonus shares are given on the shares of a company, their price is reduced in the same proportion. Actually, BSE shares rose by about 5% today. Understand the reason for the decline in simple words Suppose you have 100 shares of BSE, the price of each share is Rs 2,450. The company announced to give 2 bonus shares to the shareholders for every 1 share. Now after getting the bonus, you will have 300 shares (100 old + 200 new). But the price of each share will also decrease in proportion to the bonus, i.e., around Rs 816 (2450 ÷ 3). The share price has decreased, but the number of shares you have will increase. Overall, your investment amount will remain the same. New bonus shares will be available on May 27 The company has set May 23 as the record date for bonus shares. That is, all shareholders who buy shares by May 22 will be entitled to the bonus. These new shares will reach the demat accounts of shareholders from May 27. BSE stock has given a return of 5,200% in 5 years BSE shares have increased by more than 5,200% in the last five years, while in the last one year the stock has given a return of 177%. At the same time, in the last six months, it has risen by about 50%. In the last one month, the stock has climbed up to 12%. On May 20, the stock reached its 52-week high of Rs 7,588. Bonus shares received due to huge profits BSE’s net profit on an annual (YoY) basis in FY 2025 was Rs 494 crore. There was an increase of 362% in this. The company’s revenue also stood at Rs 847 crore with a growth of 75%. Due to good profits, the company has given bonus shares to its shareholders.
