Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film ‘Spirit’ has sparked a new debate on social media and in the industry. Deepika Padukone had demanded an eight-hour shift to work in the film, after which she was called unprofessional and was removed from the film. Now Ajay Devgan and Kajol have given their opinion on this issue without naming anyone. During the trailer launch of Kajol’s film ‘Maa’, when Ajay and Kajol were asked that new mothers in the industry are demanding an eight-hour shift. Do you think this demand is right? Will the filmmakers like this? Kajol laughed at this question and said, ‘I like the fact that you can work less.’ Then Ajay interrupted Kajol and apologized and said – ‘It is not that people are not liking it. Most honest filmmakers will not have any problem with this. Apart from this, working eight hours a day as a mother, most people have started working in eight-nine hour shifts. It depends from person to person and I think most people in the industry understand this.’ This whole controversy started when news came that Deepika had made several demands to work in the film Spirit. These included demands like eight-hour shifts, hefty fees, share in profits and not speaking dialogues in Telugu. Let us tell you that Deepika became a mother in September 2024. To balance her professional and personal life, she wanted an eight-hour shift for just five days a week. Director Sandeep was not happy with all these demands of the actress. Calling Deepika’s demands unprofessional, she has been replaced by Tripti Dimri in the film.
