Tamil Nadu – Two buses collide head-on, killing 11: Two children among the dead, bodies trapped between seats; more than 20 injured

Two buses collided head-on near Tirupattur in Tamil Nadu’s Sivaganga district on Sunday afternoon. Eleven people were killed in the accident. The deceased included eight women, two children, and one man. More than 20 were injured. According to Sivaganga Superintendent of Police Shiva Prasad, some of the injured are in critical condition. Photos and videos of the incident show that the State Transport Corporation buses collided on the driver’s side. The collision left debris scattered on the road. Bodies were trapped in the seats.
