A day after the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation election results, political activity has intensified in Mumbai. Shiv Sena (Shinde) has moved all 29 councillors to the Taj Hotel. This decision by Shiv Sena (Shinde) is being linked to the Mumbai Mayor’s post. The BJP won 89 seats in the 227-member BMC. The majority mark is 114. The BJP needs 25 councillors to elect a mayor. Sources told Dainik Bhaskar that the results were not as expected by the Shinde faction and the Ajit Pawar faction. Both Deputy Chief Ministers are upset with the BJP due to their parties’ reduced seats. Both Deputy Chief Ministers did not attend the Maharashtra government’s cabinet meeting on Saturday. All these decisions will be taken jointly by me, Eknath Shinde, and our party leaders. There is no dispute on this.” In the municipal elections in Maharashtra, the BJP won 17 out of the 29 municipal corporations. He wrote on X- If Eknath Shinde had not become Jaichand of Shiv Sena, BJP would never have got the Mayor in Mumbai.
