The seven teams for the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup have been finalized. The final team will be decided in the Pakistan-Namibia match on Wednesday. If Pakistan wins, the team will advance to Group 2 of the Super 8. If Namibia wins, the USA will advance to Group 2. Team India will remain in Group 1, where it will face South Africa, West Indies, and Zimbabwe. Australia was originally expected to be in Group 1, but the team was eliminated from the league stage. The tournament, which began on February 7th, will see group stage matches until February 20th. The Super 8 stage will begin on February 21st. On the first day, either Pakistan or the USA will play against New Zealand. In addition to New Zealand, England and Sri Lanka have also qualified for Group 2. India’s first match will be against South Africa.
In the Super 8 stage, two matches will be played on February 22nd and 26th, with one match each on March 1st. The remaining days from February 20th to 28th will feature one match each. This will result in 12 matches in both groups. The top two teams from each group will advance to the next round. The first semi-final will be played on March 4th, while the second semi-final will be played on March 5th at the Wankhede Stadium. The winning team will face each team in the final on March 8th. The 20 teams in the tournament were divided into four groups of five each. Team India qualified from Group A, while Namibia was eliminated after losing three matches. The final team will be decided between Pakistan, the United States, and the Netherlands. Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe qualified from Group B. England and the West Indies advanced to the next round from Group C. New Zealand and South Africa entered the Super 8 from Group D.
