Actor Sooraj Pancholi recently shared his prison experience. In an interview, he told how at the age of 21, he was kept in the same cell where 26/11 convict Ajmal Kasab was kept. In an interview to Hindi Rush, actor Sooraj Pancholi said, “I was kept in the same cell where Kasab was kept. They treated me as if I had caused a bomb blast. I was kept in the same cell where Kasab was kept. They treated me as if I was a big criminal. I myself did not know what I had done.” Sooraj Pancholi further said, “At that time I was only 21 years old. I did not even get a pillow to sleep. I used to sleep with my head on the newspaper, the same newspaper in which articles printed about me were cut and kept. I used to sleep with my head on them.” Let us tell you that Sooraj Pancholi was arrested after the death of actress Jiah Khan in 2013. She had to stay in jail for 22 days before getting bail. A suicide note was also recovered from Jiah’s room, in which she made many allegations against Sooraj. Sooraj Pancholi was accused of instigating Jiah to commit suicide. This case was in court for 10 years, however, now Sooraj has got a clean chit. At the same time, Sooraj Pancholi’s life is now slowly getting back on track. Recently, Salman Khan shared a picture with him and wrote, “It’s still night, the sun will shine in the morning.” Sooraj Pancholi’s first film was ‘Hero’ (2015). After which he appeared in ‘Satellite Shankar’ (2019) and Time to Dance (2021). At the same time, recently Sooraj’s new film ‘Kesari Veer: Legends of Somnath’ was released in theaters on 23 May 2025. This film is based on the story of the heroes who protected the Somnath temple in the 14th century. Sunil Shetty, Vivek Oberoi and Akanksha Sharma are also in important roles in the film.
