Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat performed Shastra Puja on the occasion of Vijayadashami on Saturday at the Sangh headquarters in Nagpur. In his speech, Bhagwat spoke on issues like Bangladesh, Kolkata rape-murder, increasing violent incidents in the country, Israel-Hamas war and stone pelting on processions. The Sangh chief said that Hindus are being attacked in Bangladesh. The need of the hour is that they should get help not only from India but from the whole world. Bhagwat also spoke on the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata. He said that this is the most shameful incident in society. Bhagwat also discussed the Sangh reaching the centenary year of its foundation day in 2024. The Sangh celebrates its foundation day on Vijayadashami. It was started by Dr. Balram Krishna Hedgewar on the day of Vijayadashami in 1925. 7 points of the Sangh chief’s speech… 1. Entry of the Sangh into the centenary year: Today the Sangh is entering the hundred years of its work. This is also special because the 200th birth anniversary of Maharani Durgavati, Maharani Holkar and Maharishi Dayanand is also going on. It is important to remember them because these people worked in the interest of the country, society and culture. 2. Attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh: There is a discussion in Bangladesh that it is in danger from India, so it has to support Pakistan because they have nuclear weapons. With this they can stop India. Everyone knows which countries are fueling such discussions. We do not need to take names, their wish is to create such situations in India too. Bangladesh will have to think about what is happening in their country. Hindus are being attacked, which is not right. There is a tyrannical fundamentalist nature in Bangladesh, the sword of danger is hanging over the heads of minorities including Hindus. 3. Increasing violent incidents in the country: Incidents inciting fundamentalism are increasing in the country. There may be dissatisfaction in the mind about the situation or policies, but there are democratic ways to oppose it. Instead, resorting to violence, attacking a specific section of society, trying to spread fear and terror is hooliganism. Baba Saheb has called such behavior the grammar of anarchy. Society has to suffer until the administration arrives. Therefore, we should be prepared. Hooliganism should not be allowed to continue. Hooliganism of anyone is not forgivable. It is our right to protect our lives and our belongings. 4. Kolkata rape-murder incident: The result of the decay of values is that the mother power in the country has to face incidents like rape. The Kolkata incident is a shameful incident that tarnishes the entire society. Society stood with the protesting doctors, but some people are protecting the criminals. This alliance of crime, politics and bad culture is ruining us. 5. Religion is the property of India: Religion is not just religion, it is the property of India. Religion is the soul of India. That is our inspiration. Who are we? We call ourselves Hindus because this religion is universal, eternal. It came into existence with the universe. We neither discovered it nor gave it to anyone. We have only identified it. That is why it is called Hinduism, which is the religion of humanity and the world. 6. Impact of Israel-Hamas war on the world: Circumstances are sometimes challenging and sometimes good. Human life is materially happier than before, but many conflicts continue in this happy and developed human society. Everyone is worried about how widespread the war that started between Israel and Hamas will be and what impact it will have on others. 7. There should be no restrictions on anyone in the society: We have divided our saints and gods among everyone. Why should Valmiki Jayanti be celebrated only in Valmiki Basti? Valmiki ji wrote Ramayana for the entire Hindu society. So why can’t everyone celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Valmiki and Ravidas together? Temples, crematoriums, water should be open for everyone, there should be no restrictions on anyone.
