America said- We have no role in reducing tension on LAC: An agreement was reached between India and China on October 21

The US has welcomed the withdrawal of Indian and Chinese troops from the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and the reduction in tension between the two countries. According to ANI, US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller on Tuesday clarified that the US has not played any role in resolving the matter. The US also said that it is closely monitoring the matter. Meanwhile, defense sources said that the withdrawal process of troops in the Depsang and Demchok areas of the eastern Ladakh region is almost complete. India is working to resolve this long-standing dispute. The Chinese Foreign Ministry had said on Friday that the troops of both the countries are engaged in carrying out the work as per the agreement on the border. There was tension in Depsang and Demchok since the Galwan clash between Indo-Chinese soldiers in 2020. India and China signed a new patrolling agreement on 21 October. This ended the 4-year-long deadlock between the two countries. Depsang: According to the Indian Army, soldiers will now be able to go to patrolling points 10, 11, 11-A, 12 and 13 in Depsang for patrolling. Demchok: Patrolling Point-14 i.e. Galwan Valley, Gogra Hot Springs i.e. PP-15 and PP-17 are buffer zones. Reports had quoted sources as saying that patrolling here will be considered later. Buffer zone means an area where both armies cannot come face to face with each other. These zones separate the opposing armies. India-China patrolling agreement in 3 points 1. On 15 June 2020, China had gathered soldiers in the border areas of Eastern Ladakh on the pretext of exercise. After this, incidents of infiltration took place at many places. The Indian government also deployed soldiers equal to China in this area. The situation became so bad that bullets were fired on the LAC. During this time, 20 Indian soldiers were martyred in a clash with the Chinese army in the Galwan Valley on 15 June. Later India also gave a befitting reply to this.
