Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that over the past 12 years, India has recognized its inner strengths and strengthened itself. This confidence is driving developed countries to enter into trade agreements with India. Addressing the News18 Rising India Summit, he said that if India hadn’t recognized its potential and implemented institutional reforms, no country would be willing to enter into trade agreements with it. Criticizing the Congress party, the Prime Minister said, “Congress votes aren’t being stolen, but rather, the people of the country no longer consider it worthy of voting for them. This trend began after 1984. First, millennials taught Congress a lesson, and now Gen-Z is also ready. The PM said, “After independence, a sense of inferiority had become ingrained in the country.” The Prime Minister said, “A country’s capabilities don’t develop suddenly, but are built on the knowledge, tradition, hard work, and experience of generations.” He added that even after independence, some people maintained a colonial mentality, which had led to a sense of inferiority within the country. Referring to the period before 2014, Modi said that if the country had remained among the “Fragile Five” and policy paralysis persisted, India would not have been taken seriously globally. He said that there is a new energy in the country and India is rapidly moving towards regaining its lost potential. Modi said, “Congress never worked with good intentions.” The PM said, “Congress and its allies have never worked with good intentions. They have no concern for the suffering of the poor. For example, the Ayushman Bharat scheme has not been implemented in Bengal till date. If there had been good intentions, would this scheme, which provides free treatment up to 5 lakh rupees to the poor, have been stopped? No. The Prime Minister said, “Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, pucca houses are being built for the poor across the country. In Tamil Nadu, approximately 950,000 pucca houses have been allotted to poor families. However, construction of 300,000 of these houses is stalled. Why?” Because the DMK government is not showing any interest in building these houses for the poor. ————————— Read this news related to PM Modi also… PM writes a letter to the people of West Bengal: Mentions CAA, curbing infiltration; Talks on law and order along with development of the state Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written an open letter in Hindi and Bengali to the citizens of West Bengal.
